Well, okay, they are.  I mean, they're definitely supposed to be.  If they're actually not, you have a problem.  The sort where you need to call the emergency room.  Actually, never mind, don't bother.  That's more of a "call your lawyer" problem, or possibly a "call the airline that flies to Bolivia because they don't have extradition" problem.

But, my point is, I have the "Baby User's Manual," and in all the diagrams of how to hold a baby (e.g., ), they clearly show that the head and body are not connected.  Definitely a good reminder of floppiness.

I'm happy to report, however, that (a) Ari is still simply connected, in the topological sense; and (b) she's not especially floppy anymore, except maybe when she falls asleep.</description>
